What is Pollination?
Pollination is the act of transferring pollen grains from the male anther of a flower to the female stigma. The goal of every living organism, including plants, is to create offspring for the next generation. One of the ways that plants can produce offspring is by making seeds.
Why is it necessary?
Pollination is important because it leads to the production of fruits we can eat, and seeds that will create more plants. Pollination begins with flowers. Flowers have male parts that produce very small grains called pollen.Pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from one flower to another.

Types of pollination:
There are two types of pollination, called self-pollination and cross-pollination. Self-pollination is the more basic type of pollination because it only involves one flower. This type of pollination occurs when pollen grains from the anther fall directly onto the stigma of the same flower.

Survival Skills

In our S.O.S class we have learnt many things in the past but it was time for us to move on and learn something else.Our class (9TPK) are learning about survival skills and other related things.This photo shows what I have learnt and what I would do if we were stranded on an island. I've also wrote down leader qualities , survival skills , and a respond to an a attack .This was also about ruling an island or leading people .We now are moving on to politician & government .

Miss New Universe New Zealand

Yesterday afternoon , the Miss Universe New Zealand visited the senior school.We had the 20 pageant finalist from Miss New Zealand  .Out of the 20 we  only had 16 arrive . Out of the 16 three got up and introduce them selves and talked about their life style and their background .It was interesting to know what they had to say . They inspired us heaps bye talking about how they were entrepreneurs and being enterprising and fundraising  for charity and bye telling us how they move forward .Today they are going to Manila Philippines to finalize who is Miss New Zealand . 

As the presentation finished , the 16 split up in to the five classes .We asked them questions like , what inspired them and have they had any challenges . Each said yes  , some of them had their own personal job and some of them work for company one of them even started her own plastic company .It was unfortunately the contestants had to leave .

How to prevent your self from getting sick

Every one knows winter is not a season to wear good looking clothing like singlets and shorts, these type of clothing  are not to be worn in winter because of the cold temperature or bad weather. These temperature can attack you .  .In winter many people fall ill , one factor is because of the weather or cold temperatures . In this season many viruses and illness .When I think of winter I think of what can attack me and make me sick , that why my mum is already ready.

Hygiene, is one of the ways you can keep safe during winter . Hygiene is simply just washing hands ,I know doesn't seem like much but it really helps it helps in many way . Washing your hands can fight of the germs and stop it from getting to you or inside you .Germs going around that's why you need to wash you hand .Keeping hands clean is hand hygiene is one of the most important steps we can take to avoid from  getting sick and spreading germs to others.

Healthy diet and Tissues and hand sanitisers , These a concept is part of how to prevent yourself from getting sick . Foods like fruits veggies, this can fight the illness and keep flu from getting to you . Some fruit can fight cold especially lemons , oranges and kiwifruit .It high on vitamin C and also has  sitorus that heals colds ,flu and even sore throats . Tissues and hand sanitisers, at Pt England School they provide tissues and hand sanitisers , but still have germs going around the school . In school there is a lot of hygiene happening but there needs to be more .

Flu Shot .One concept is simply the flu shot , I know it hurt but is does good you and your body.Flu season can begin as early as October and last as late as May. It’s best to get the flu shot  as soon as it becomes available. Some people should make sure it’s ok  to take the vaccine. Ask your doctor first if you  had an allergic to the  flu shot in the past.

These are things that will help you get through the winter season .If you do all of these thing you will stay healthy and well .

Need vs Want

To help us understand the difference between need and wants we looked at shopping for our family. I worked with Paula to complete a list . At first a budget was not stated.  The only guidelines were having enough groceries to cater for 5 meals, include fruit and sanitary products.   After we completed the list we received a budget and had to think which items were necessary and which weren't summary.

Our original list cost us $122  After receiving our budget we had to $160 .Our left over budget $38 . We decided to treat our family .

Money

How people spend a receive money ?What is money? Money is coins and banknotes used to buy or purchase food, clothing and many other things. Money is a real principle  to many people such as myself  and friends.

Where do you get your money?  Money can come from many places like from your parent’s, relatives, friends  and many others . I usually  get my money from parent for lunch , when there not enough time a to make lunch . How you get your money ?I get my money By doing chors and little things and I get  lunch money .Sometimes I win money in sports bets . In a very strict household money is hard to find money but chors might get money . Many kids are desperate for money  ? Because things like  candy , toys need money purchase if not you can't buy it .  

How you spend your money? Massive amount of kids in the world would spend it on sweets, Fact : Americans Will Spend 2.8 - 7 Billion on Halloween . I spend my money two different ways. First I purchase many things that I need, like toothbrush, pencil or stationary.

Money can be used for good and bad things. That why we should be careful with money. Many problems are happening in world because of money that's why we need to be careful in the present of money .

 

City vs City

Last at night State Of Origin started and everyone was there to support them. My favorite team is QLD they won the game, QLD:11  NSW:10. It was an awesome game, it was so unbelievable QLD always wins phew I thought for a minute the NSW was going to win, lucky QLD won. I  just can't believe it that QLD won. It’s like Qld wins the game and NSW wins the fights.

Can't tell you how much fun that was! Love experimenting with new technology. The live streaming outside the ground before kick-off has lots of potential and we'll be doing more of that in Melbourne. Thanks for tolerating the glitches, such as no sound on the replays. To me, Queensland has one hand on the trophy. Daly Cherry Evans will come back into their side, Paul Gallen to NSW's line-up. OK, hot off the presses, some audio I recorded a short time ago in the Maroons sheds with assistant coach Michael Hagan!
