managing self

This photo is about managing self.
I have thought very carefully and think i am at level 2 because I can manage my self well when visitors are here and I’m still learning to manage myself and my learning appropriately. Sometimes I need reminders of my learning and myself .I set good goals for myself and that is for me to stay focus on my learning by sitting with the right friends, space and place  .

Ah! With yawn on my face I woke up like every day look at the time it was 7:30 so tired and had  a late night . I started to go back to sleep but my sister frightened  me with an toy cow, so I kicked  the blanket and into the bathroom. I snachted my tooth brush and saw there were no toothpaste so I remembered there were toothpaste in the draw . I got all that done and my dad came to pick me and siblings up to so we went .

Driving down the road I saw heaps of young  people not in uniform like me and strolling down the tired not like me thats why my mum and dad tell me school help have a good life . We were at school we hoped of and all said “bye “ .

School helps you heaps! In in life . It better to go and learn something then stay home and do nothing .

This peace of writing is an sample and we only go 40 minute to write it .

Why its important to know how to swim

New zealand  is surrounded by water and it more likely to die , did you know it only takes a teaspoon of water to  make you die.
Each year many children die by drowning . Thats why many people take there kids swimming lessons , they get more support in the pool and when they go to the beach they are comfortable in the ocean . Gaining our strength in swimming will help

Drowning is consistently the third highest cause of unintentional death in New Zealand, behind road vehicle crashes and accidental falls. Water Safety New Zealand records drowning statistics, and produce reports, fact sheets and research based on these statistics.
Swimming could help you to not be afraid of your fears in the water . Swimming can help you in case you get caught out in some kind of disaster.

Don’t have to be a pro swimmer or an expert but you need to be able to keep safe that all it matter is  being able to stay  . Try and get support in case you get caught out in some kind of disaster .

Sound facts

Sound can’t travel through vacuum ( an area empty of matter ) .When you are  traveling through water, sound moves around four times faster than when it travels through air. Sound comes from vibrations. These vibrations create sound waves which move through mediums such as air and water before reaching our ears.

Sound dictation

This is me and my groups first go at explaining sound
Like many terms in science, Sound is formed from a vibration and from mechanical waves. in everyday use, sound refers to what the ear can hear. Sound can be pleasant unpleasant hard or soft high or low. The scientific meaning of sound is based on an understanding interaction between matter and energy, what the brain hears of sound or interprets gets its start from the energy of moving molecules of air.

when a guitar string  vibrates energy comes from vibrations. these oscillating sound waves can move through substances like water dirt or solid rock.

Energy comes from vibration like a guitar strings.

Cyclone Lusi

Amazing nots today it is 50 knots and the forecast is very nasty . The cyclone is category 1 and the winds are making the most of it and some houses are down .
Where did this strong wind come from ,reporters all around new zealand are saying it came from the north pacific where fiji and tonga is around there.

They say it hit the north island first before it started to come down . Cyclon lusi is second tropical cyclone rains and winds .On that weekend it was pouring with rain the wind was extremely strong. Flipping over trampolines and basket ball hoop lusi was ruthless. Even though the winds were not as strong as expected.

On Friday it was so amazing because it was finally the school picnic.

Sport was cool when we went was  the best because I kick the ball and went into the water lucky it landed on the shallow part.

I so staving so I went and ate my cup cake. My lunch was yummy.

Diving in to the water, I liked looking under water because I saw a fish I tried to grab it.
As I grabbed it, it felt sharp, so I let go. I wanted it to come back to me.

I wish we could have a picnic every Friday cause it was fun. What a fun day we had at Pt England Reserve .

Empathy

Empathy explains someone's feeling and being honest each others feelings . It really explain who love can really relate to others and putting yourself in there shoes. I like sharing feelings with other cause so I know what the other person feel about me and who I feel about him.

Sometimes people never show empathy they would never talk or never look at each other they would sometimes bully them or tell them to get lost . But sometimes they would show empathy .We can show empathy by showing them you care about  them .

we will show it by never leaving out and if you show the . People can uderstand that you are showing empathy

If we can show empathy good things would happen in our lives . I don’t like looking at people left out.

My personal goals 2014

My Personal Goals - 2014   Date: 5 \ 2 \ 2014
My achievement I was most proud of last year in the classroom was playing rugby because we tried hard and got the shield.
The thing I was most proud of last year outside of the classroom was playing sports with my friends.
In reading my learning goal is to really focus on big words
To achieve this goal I need to listen to the teacher really well.
In writing my goal is to make my sentence more interesting.
To achieve this goal I need to use more vocab and more detail to the front and end of the sentence.
....................
In Maths my goal is to read the question really well so I understand what I am doing.
The learning area I think I need to improve in most is writing
In my learning my goal this term is to show 'Caring' for my learning tools and put them back in the right place when I finish.
My goal for this year around the classroom is to (behaviour / self management) show respect to my teacher and my classmates.
My goal for this year around the school is to perform a good role model to the little kids.
